This is something I have always dreamed about doing!
I am thrilled to offer classes + workshops for ages 5-10 years old local to Knoxville, TN that focus on watercolor, illustration, and storytelling.

The name Little Scribble Studio is inspired by one of my daughter’s favorite books, I’m Not Just A Scribble by Diane Alber.
The book is about a messy little scribble who gets excluded by neat and tidy drawings, saying they don’t have straight lines and their colors are too bright.
Scribble never waivers, and ends up showing them that they are loved and valuable BECAUSE of what makes them different, not just in spite of being different.

All classes will focus on elements of watercolor, pen and ink illustration, and storytelling.
Examples of classes + workshops:
Watercolor Techniques
experiment with watercolor paints while practicing brushwork, mixing colors, and working with different high quality materials
Illustration Fundamentals
learn about the various types and techniques of illustration along with its history, then be given prompts and exercises to help them explore the world of illustration using mediums including pencil, pen-and-ink, markers, and more
Storytelling
learn about plot, characters, and the importance of imagery in a storybook, and create their own stories inspired by the books they have read
Comic Creations
design characters, work on thumbnail sketching, and explore basic animation while also having fun with projects like self-portraits, flip books, and comic strips
